Privacy notice
A short notice, because this site collects very little.
What this site does not collect
Out of Town Shopper is a static website: a set of fixed pages. There are no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment sections, no newsletter, no analytics tools and no advertising or tracking scripts. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or share personal data.
Google Fonts
Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and standard browser information, as with any web request. This is the only third-party request our pages make. Google's handling of that data is covered by its own privacy policy. If you prefer, you can block web fonts in your browser and the site will fall back to your system fonts.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the server that hosts our pages may keep short-term technical logs, such as IP addresses, pages requested and times, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify or track individual visitors.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and, where you report an error, to correct the site. We do not add you to any list. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it, and normally delete it within 12 months. Please do not send us copies of parking letters, receipts or other documents containing personal details; we cannot advise on individual cases.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us via the contact page.
