No affiliate links
Affiliate links pay a website a commission when a reader clicks through and buys something. Out of Town Shopper does not use them. We have no affiliate agreements with retailers, comparison sites, van hire firms, charging networks, warranty providers or anyone else.
Every external link on this site goes to legislation, a government department, a regulator, an official register or appeals service, or an established advice body. We do not link to shops.
Why it matters for these guides
Several of our topics touch on spending decisions: whether to pay for delivery, whether to buy an extended warranty, whether to hire a van. We want our guidance on those questions to be free of any incentive to push you one way. Our content standards rule out product and brand endorsements for the same reason.
If that ever changes
If we ever introduce affiliate links, we will update this page first, mark each affiliate link clearly next to the link itself, and never let commission decide what we recommend. See also our advertising disclosure.
